The story behind me
I
began making jewellery whilst living in the Middle East for my shop
Steptoes Bazaar and the American Womens Association bazaars and other
national events. Upon returning to the UK I did for a while put my
jewellery away, whilst I adapted to being back at home, studying and re inventing a career.
I soon realised that I need a
way of relaxing. Luckily for me another jewellery friend who lives in
Hong Kong was due over for a visit and she kindly arrived armed with a
suitcase full of glorious beads and componments -I was off again.
Initially
time restraints prevented me from exhibiting and I turned to
teaching children to make jewellery at local carnivals and fares, as
both Mums and Dads have also partcipated and found it so relaxing and
engaging they asked to make their own pieces, as have friends and
from this fledgling beginning I have decided to develop this
service into a business of teaching others the pleasure and wonders of
jewellery making.
